P-47 Thunderbolt 1 Hours of Combat

19.96 / EEC 16.63 / OUTSIDE EEC

1 Hours of Combat, never before in the “LEGENDS OF THE SKY” collection, has a DVD shown so many aerial combat, ground attacks, strategic bombardments.
The P-47 THUNDERBOLT deserved this tribute: it was, in fact, one of the major assets of the Allied air forces during World War II.
Despite his clumsy appearance (he was nicknamed “THE JUG”, LE POT in French), he was the favorite of pilots and ground mechanics.
It was a fast, solid, easy to maintain aircraft with formidable firepower, thanks to its rocket machine guns and other bombs.
He proved to be formidable in all the missions entrusted to him: protector of the bomber squadrons above Germany, predator of Japanese aviation during the battle of the Mariana Islands, destroyer of the railways, the equal of the MESSERSCHMITTs and the FOCKE WULF in aerial combat.
The P-47 THUNDERBOLT had “punch” as the American pilots liked to recognize.
Built in 15 copies it has been credited with 000 missions and 545 enemy aircraft downed.
Many people still consider it today as the most extraordinary aircraft of WWII.
