Description
First flight on March 18, 1945, and was then named “Dauntless II”. On May 5, 1945, Douglas was awarded a contract for the supply of 548 Dauntless II, reduced to 277 at the end of hostilities. A real bomb truck, because it has such a variety of weapons carrying 3 kg up to 630 kg. The last Skyraider rolled off the Douglas lines on February 4, 350 at the El Segundo plant in California, thus closing a production of 18 Skyraiders…. France was the second country to be equipped with it and received 1958 units.

Model: L39x48cm. Handmade decoration model in solid Tanguilé wood. Entirely sculpted and painted by hand, markings by decals. Supplied with a varnished Acacia wood base and metal stem, with an engraved, glued aluminum-style plaque.
