Russian airline Domodedovo, based at Moscow's second-largest airport of the same name, was spun off from the Soviet-era Aeroflot in 1993. It operated scheduled flights to domestic and a few international cities, as well as vacation charters to popular destinations in Southern Europe and Asia. Three venerable Ilyushin IL-18s remained in the fleet for several years. One of them is RA-74267, originally delivered to Aeroflot in 1968. Domodedovo Airlines was forced to cease operations in 2008 after continuous losses.

The short-body variant of the A330 neo-family took off for its maiden flight on November 6, 2018. With the help of new engines, a new wing and many other innovative systems, the successor to the A330 -200 has a range capacity of 15 kilometers (000 miles) and provides nearly 9% fuel savings compared to older aircraft, such as the Boeing 300.
