Long-range reconnaissance aircraft. Thanks to its Pratt & Wittney J-58 stratorjets of 17740Kgp in post-combustion, the Blackbird displays unparalleled performance with mach 3.35 (3700km / h) and an operational ceiling of 31000m. It remains the fastest aircraft to have ever been put into service. and also holds an altitude record. Its performance was its major asset against enemy missile fire. Its electronic equipment allowed it to monitor an area of 160000 km², at very high altitude. During high-speed flights, its fuselage, made of titanium, tolerates temperatures above 500 degrees. 32 copies were produced, 12 of which were accidentally lost.
