Description
In 1931 Reginald Joseph Mitchell designed this seaplane for the sole purpose of winning the famous Schneider Trophy. It was powered by a 2 hp Rolls-Royce engine, and with JH Boothmann at the helm brought the coveted trophy back to England while breaking the world speed record with over 600 km / h on average. This during the 547,22th and last race counting for the attribution of the Schneider Trophy.
Model:L45x47cm. Handmade decoration model in solid Tanguilé wood. Entirely sculpted and painted by hand, markings by decals. Supplied with a varnished Acacia wood base and metal stem, with an engraved, glued aluminum-style plaque.
