In 1986, the 319th Bombardment Wing based in North Dakota traded in its B-52s for the then-new, supersonic B-1B. All of the earliest Bones delivered in the 1980s wore the Strategic Air Command camouflage pattern in green and gray, the 46th Bombardment Squadron's "Wolfhound" being no exception.
